I own it. I use it sometimes with my 13, 12 and 9-yr-olds. It’s basically a workbook with worksheets. I know you can do ‘graphic organizer’ things with it, but I haven’t figured out how that part is supposed to work. For each homophone there are about 10 sentences and the child has to figure out which word is used in which sentence. Takes about 5 minutes if that.
I have each of my kids write their answers on the white board as I only have 1 book (and don’t see any value in buying another). I think there are some games included (or downloadable online) but honeslty I haven’t really looked into it. Do I think it’s worth the price? Probably not. You could find lists of homophones and make up/find sentences to use. If time is short (and precious) and you really feel like the kids need homophone practice then perhaps it’s worth the money to not have to prepare stuff on your own. Since I own it I use it (sometimes, when I remember to pull it out).
