I am in need of a good Advent read for my son he’s a good reader, in 5th grade and I’d like something uplifting.  Got any ideas?  Thanks

The one we loved reading last year was Destination Bethlehem. I read it as a read aloud to my two kids ages 7&8 at the time and they loved it, but I think I loved it the most. Very cool how it brings everything together and just sucks you into the time and place of Jesus’s birth!

We really loved Jotham’s Journey by Arnold Ytreeide. I loved that we read a new chapter each night and each chapter finished with devotional thoughts/questions & scripture. We are looking forward to reading the next two books over the next two Advents. And we read Amon’s Adventure during this past Lent season. Really great books! http://jothamsjourney.com
