? about switching to MUS after RS E

    I was wondering whether others here have followed the curriculum suggestion to switch to MUS after completing RightStart level E.  We are currently using Level E now, it is working for us and RS has additional levels.  Does MUS cover thr next levels better than RS?  Has anyone contiued with RS after Level E and what has your experience been?

    I believe the reason for the switch to MUS at this point was bc there were no more levels of RS. We use MUS from the beginning, but if you are happy with RS and more levels are available I would suggest sticking with RS.

    I was wondering if anyone has used the Video Text math that is reccommended by RS, after level E?

    We have done RS since the beginning and have loved it. We followed RS recommendation to do RS G half the year and Video Text half the year. We had to call RS multiple times per week, ask Daddy for help, wipe OUR tears often. IT is EXTREMELY difficult. There is NO way this is independent work. I have another friend who struggled to get half done also. This year we are supposed to do the other half of geometry, and I just can’t invest that much strength and effort into it. This year I ahve another daughter finishing E and I am almost certain I am going to MUS…..If not that, It will be something other than G. I have 4 kids doing math next year, I can not instruct 4 different levels of math, every day on a heavy teacher directed curriculum and read GOBS of great books, ect.

    HOWVER< Video Text has been great! Really great. She does it independently!  🙂
