Great article. I wish our educators in this country would realize the value in play and unstructured time for children…and adults!
Right now, in my city, the public schools are pushing hard to enroll young children in a pre-preschool program. They have ads on TV and huge billboards advertising this malarkey…nothing but a childcare scam at the taxpayers’ expense. Are these children even potty-trained yet?
Ahhh…my tax dollars hard at work.

I read a great article the other day about a K teacher in Vermont who has “Forest Monday” each week. How fantastic. One of the things our public schools need, in my opinion!
