A Life of Faith book series

My DD just turned 7 this weekend and got some American Girl books for her birthday.  This is her first experience with any of the products.  Three years ago when I attended the local curriculum fair there was a booth set up for the book/doll series “A Life of Faith”.  They are now discontinued, but used books can be purchased online.

Have any of your girls read these books?  When my daughter saw the images of the dolls (Victorian style) she loved them!  (She is not a doll lover, but she loved the look of the girls.)  Would these books be appropriate for a typical 7 y/o?  I know some AG books have some sensitive material in them, while ALOF books are about character building and Christian living.
