Has anyone used or is planning to use A History of Our World?  I’m on the Master Books website now, and I really do like what I see by looking at the samples. I’m still trying to work out our history for the year. We were planning on using SCM modern guide, but A History of Our World looks much more appealing because it doesn’t require additional books. Then again, that can also be the downside to it. Thoughts?

It all depends on what you’re looking for in a history curriculum. I much prefer SCM because I want all those lovely, living books!

I bought A Living History of Our World several years ago to use as a history spine with my then 5th grade daughter. It was just too textbookish for me. If you want something in between a textbook and a living book, this curriculum might be the one for you.

I use it as a spine for the years that are written.   The author has a recommend supplements list with some living books on it.

    Jellybeanjar.org is her website.
