Is there somewhere I can get a free reading guide for a Child’s History of the World – we use the SCM history guides, but I really like Hillyer’s book and I’d love to incorporate it into our schedule, but I just don’t have the time to go through story by story to see which module I should read them with.

    Thanks!

I use the book with the modules. You can use it with all the modules if desired. I read one chapter aloud every week and my kids reallly like it. I choose the chapters that pertain to our time period. Not sure of any reading guides, sorry!

If you go to amblesideonline.com and search you will find a list of all the chapters in CHOW, their content, and corresponding dates. I printed that out and marked out the dates by modules. During Module 5 for instance we are only covering about 2 chapters every six weeks, doing half chapters at a time and the last two weeks reading from Trial and Triumph.

I’m sorry I can’t link to it, on my phone right now.
