I’m wondering………How did you break it up? How often did you do it? What did you use for a notebook? Did you & your kids like it? I’ve never actually talked to someone who has used it before. It looks great, but for some reason I’m just having a hard time figuring out exactly how I want to implement it. I’d love to hear about your experiences!
just as an fyi, all three of my kids HATED it, so I eventually dropped it. This past year, my kids were 1st grade DD, 4th grade DS, and 8th grade DD. They thought it was just so cheesey and hokey and frankly, wordy. I didn’t like it either, honestly. I adore Ann Voskamp, but this product was not for us. The whole “Now we’re going to take a trip to Israel…just imagine floating in the Dead Sea” – type approach seemed so….fabricated, and forced, maybe? It left my kids sort of snickering, and saying, “Really, Mom?”
They are broken into parts (2-3 per country I think) but then the parts also seem to be broken into smaller sections. It almost seems as if I should be do 1/2 part one day 1/2 part another day a day for mapping and then another day for the activities. However, that ends up being 8 days per part. I was hoping to only do geography 1-2 days a week so it would end up dragging on forever. I just can’t seem to find a good way to divide it all up.
