I have been putting together a blog weekly for about a year now with pictures, classical music and poetry to study with your children using Charlotte Mason’s style. I choose things that I think are beautiful, realistic, and appropriate to children. I want the things I’m asking them to store in their minds to be worth pondering and remembering. I look for pictures that have details for children to study and remember. I feature each artist, composer or poet for about six weeks though some have run longer. I look for works that are over 100 years old so they are in the public domain and you can make copies. I usually give a link to a brief biographical sketch of the artist or composer the week we first feature their work. For those of you who would like to try picture study and listening to classical music but aren’t sure where to begin or just don’t have time right now – this may be for you. Blessings to you all as you seek to disciple the children the LORD has entrusted you with for His Kingdom and glory. Patti
I clicked on this thinking, “I bet it’s not as good as All Things Bright and Beautiful.”. And then, lo and behold, it was “All Things Bright and Beautiful” that I saw on my screen. I have been subscribed to your blog for some time now. I get your email every Friday and I forward the link to my kids so they can enjoy it as well. We often watch the YouTube videos you link. I am very appreciative of the work you put into this. I just wanted to say thank you.
