5 year old nature observation

My dd5 (just turned 5 on Friday) walks into the kitchen this morning and asked me if our new plant was bamboo. I said it is not and asked her “what makes you think it is bamboo?” She says: “it is really tall and skinny, but it doesn’t have leaves like bamboo, and it has those lines going across all the way up”

It is a type of grass and I asked my husband if it was bamboo also. I just thought she did a great job describing it and stating why she thought that. My husband is a manager at a garden center, so my kids know more about plants than the average 5 and 3 years olds but I was still impressed.
