I just found four of my mom’s books when she was a kid. I have All About the Atom, All About the Wonders of Chemistry, All About Rockets and Jets and All About Famous Inventors and Their Inventions. Does anyone have an opinion about these books? I could not find out much about them online. I don’t think they qualify as living books. I was thinking I could use them along with some living books this summer. I would appreciate any input you ladies have.
I have several of them in my library. They vary in literary quality depending on the author. Though I would not call them great, they do serve a purpose sometimes so I find them worthwhile to have on my shelves.
I just received the set from my mom, I remember loking through them when I was young, LOL. I think there are 30 in the set (or close to it)
We have not used them, but every now and then they have been handy. Just last week my ODS wanted to know about how the brain sends messages throughout the body. I pulled out “All about our bodies” and it had a simple chapter on the nervous system. I was able to glance it over pull out some facs and with the pictures he was happy with the answers.
