11 year old girl gift needed

    Hi Friends!

    A friend of mine asked me for a book title suggestion for her 11 year old niece’s first communion gift.  My oldest dd is 6, so I wasn’t really sure what to tell her.  I thought you all would have some ideas!  She’s not sure if she’s looking for a devotional or a fiction….just something special.

    Lamplighter books come to mind. Some my daughters have enjoyed are Jessica’s First Prayer, Jessica’s Mother, Mary Jones and Her Bible, The White Dove, The Basket of Flowers, The Little Lamb, A Peep Behind the Scenes, Rosa of Linden Castle, The Hedge of Thorns, The Golden Thread, and The Three Weavers.     Definitely a lamplighter book! My dd11’s favorite of the many we’ve enjoyed is A Peep Behind the Scenes.

    I recently bought each of my older children a Journible. It is a Scripture copywork journal. I think the Luke Journible would be fitting especially with the Lamplighter book A Peep Behind the Scenes (which is about Luke 15:1-10…the lost sheep).
