106 Days and CGC

    I just got 106 Days and Considering God’s Creation. I noticed that most of CGC is used in the 106 Days lesson plans but not the Earth chapter which is CGC lessons 5, 5A-5C. I was thinking of adding 5 and 5B (Earth) in with the 106 Days Planet lessons, 5A info in with 106 Days Light lesson and 5C info in with the 106 Days Atmosphere lesson.

    Has anyone done this or would it mess anything up? I do want 106 Days to be the main science spine but there is such good info in the CGC.

    I only have 1 child who is in 5th grade.

    Go for it!  I love the structure of 106 Days that is enough on it’s own, but often add in fun things that will help re-inforce the lesson.  Field trips, notebooking pages, movies, a few experiements – it all makes it even more fun!  I thought that the first few lessons were better for my 4th and 5th graders when I added the things from CGC.
