Does anyone have and use the Your Story hour CD’s? Which ones are good?

What other Audio resources do you use?

We have all the Jonathon Park CD’s and love them but I am looking for some other resources too.

    Thank you,

    Shelly

What ages did you start the Jonathon Park CD’s? I can’t tell if they are for older children or can a 7 yr and 5 yr old enjoy?

    Kim.

    Kim,

Oh yes, they are for all ages. My kids are all 8 and under and they love them. But my husband and I love them too. We have learned a lot as a family. I highly recommend Jonathon Park.

Last year when we went to our local homeschool convention I purchased Your Story Hour Album 6 Heritage of Our Country Series. We were not disappointed. Dd really enjoys listening to them. We have listened to about half of them and the others I work in to any lessons as they come up.

We LOVE audiobooks! I have all of the Your Story Hour Bible Series, several of the adventures in Life and just last week bought a set of 8 – The Great Stories cds. We love all of them. We have favorites, but they are all good. My kids listen to the Bible ones as they go to sleep sometimes. We listen in the car, during rest time, etc.

    Other Great Audiobook Resources…

    – librivox.org (free; books read by volunteers; books are in public domain) – we’ve found many treasures and CM books here.

    – AlcazarAudioworks.com (Top Quality audiobooks for purchase; Many CM books; can also buy mp3 downloads at currclick.com)

    – naxosaudiobooks.com (quality books for purchase)

    – homeschoolradioshows.com (great old fashioned radio programs for downloading)

    – Our library has many classics for checking out. We just finished Trumpet of the Swan and that was great! The author read it.

    – Jim Hodges did a series called Boys of Grit who became men of… (My son in particular likes these and he’s only 5)

Our ALL TIME FAVORITE audiobook purchase has been The Sugar Creek Gang series by Paul Hutchens and read by Paul Ramseyer. We own many of the books, but ALL of the audiobooks. They are FABULOUS and worth every penny!

Anyway, that should give you a start. I could go on and on, but I won’t. 🙂

Sorry for the double post. The first one didn’t show up for me until after I posted the second one. Sorry
