Peril and Peace anyone read the whole thing?

Has anyone read this book completely?  I see only certain chapters are listed in the Matthew through Acts study.  I didn’t know if they were omitted b/c of too much material to get through or another reason.   Trying to decide if I should stick with the chapters suggested, or just read it all together (my oldest 2 are 9 and 6).

    Thanks!

Mandi, some of the chapters were a bit more intense in their descriptions of the martyrs and some overlapped people who would be studied in the Middle Ages plans. So I left those out of the readings for the younger students. Older students are assigned the whole book, reading those “extra” chapters independently.

Feel free to preread all the chapters and see which you think would be best for your children to hear.

I’ve read it completely and my older 3 children (17, 15 and 13) have, too.  It is a very good book, but I think it is wise to omit the more intense chapters with younger readers and have done that with my (young) 11 year old, 8 year old and 5 year old.

Thank you for your feedback.  I will stick to the recommended readings for now, with the ages of my kids.  🙂
