Any one know of a good source for real food crockpot recipes?

I am looking for some new ideas for crockpot/slow cooker recipes. However, so many of the ideas I find call for more processed ingredients than I’d care to use. (We don’t have any particular food allergies, but do avoid refined sugars and artificial additives.) Any ideas that use a minimal amount of processed ingredients? Could be a book or a website or even just your personal favorites if you are willing to share…
Thanks!
Jen
MelissaBParticipantRachel WhiteParticipantI use Fix it and Forget It a few times a month. If any recipes use more processed ingredients, then I just adjust the recipe. I also like Southern Food crockpot recipes from About.com.
Those recipes with processed ingredients are in the minority.

HopeMemberI also just substitute real food for processed ones. My favorite pot roast recipe was with onion soup mix, beef broth, and cream of mushroom poured over it. Now I use fresh onions, fresh garlic, real mushrooms, seasonings, homemade beef broth, and organic cream of mushroom (when I can get it with a coupon).
I like going to allrecipes.com type “slow cooker” in the search and then sort by ratings. I’ve found some great recipes this way. We love the Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup recipe from there. I adjust a few things like frozen/fresh corn, homemade taco seasoning, fresh tomatoes, and add a jalapeno, but I do use canned organic beans. Another one we love from there is Slow Cook Carnitas.
HopeMemberMelissaB,
Thanks for these links! They look great.
MamaSnowParticipantThanks for the ideas ladies, I’ll check them out. I know you can swap things out for the processed stuff, but that can turn a simple recipe into a complicated one! When we go back overseas I may not be able to even get a can of mushroom soup (and when we’re here I don’t care to use it because of the msg and such). Anyhow, this does give me a few links to hunt through, and hopefully I can find some new things to add into our rotation. I will be in school part time starting next month, so I have a feeling I will be using the crockpot more often.
Thanks,
Jen
MamaSnowParticipantOh, I was also going to say that a google search turned up this link…I haven’t had a chance to look through it all yet, but thought I’d throw it out there in case anyone else is looking for something new:
