Can anybody who has bought and used the history handbooks please review them on the review portion of the store? It would really make buying decisions so much easier–I really use peoples’ experiences and reviews when deciding about buying an educational product. This would just take a short minute, yet would be so helpful to all of us who are not sure, thank you!!
This is just my 2 cents…The reviews and experiences you are seeking are written in the threads of this discussion board. There is a wealth of information that will help you decide if this resource is right for you. Try to take a little time each day to read through the threads tagged with “history”. If you look to the left of the main page for the discussion board, you will see that history is the biggest word in the popular topics section. Click on that to see if you answers can be found. It isn’t as simple as a star system, but, to me, the star system just doesn’t do the modules justice.
When I go on Amazon for example, I look at the star ratings sometimes, but more importantly, I read why someone chose a particular rating. That “why” is found here in the discussions for the history guides. I would also like to encourage you to download the samples of the history guides and read them to see if you like them. I use other people’s experiences as well so I understand what it is that you are looking to find. However, the star system in the bookstore pales in comparision to the time spent by other parents to post their adoration/concern of the history guides. You will find an overwhelming love of the modules here. They are just wonderful.

5heartsathome, you are absolutely right that the threads are SO helpful in these decisions! I do think, however, that it is a nice thing to have all of it in one place rather than having to search through past threads, etc. The way the resources are reviewed here are not only by stars, but also with comments when you rate an item. So it is really nice to have all of that in one spot, with their comments (good or bad) rather than spending the time searching, reading through the discussions, etc. when necessary…though I DO love reading through them when I have the time! All the Moms are super great on here and I have gained a lot from their experience and wisdom.
