especially if you use it with a highschooler.  I’m looking for a new program for my DS, because TT is just not working for this particular child.  I’m thinking of doing the math rescue with him and then going straight into Algebra and Algebra II, he will definitely be working over the summer.  Right now we’re using ALEKS and while he likes it I really would like something that we would own and could use with subsequent children.  Thanks

    Hi Des,

My 14yo ds wasn’t doing well with TT either so we switched him over to Systematic Math. He began the original modules in September and is moving along well, really grasping the concepts. Mr. Paul lays the foundation for higher math in a way that seems to sink in. I’m assuming Math Resuce is taught in the same way, only at a faster pace. Hope you get more responses.

Heather did you start him in Algebra 8/1?  I believe I could start my DS there, i’m just trying to be thorough, I guess.  Do you think it would be worth it for me to get at least one module to just try it out?  Thanks

If you call there number and leave them a message or email them they are really good about helping you out.  I haven’t used the older books yet.  We used TT with my oldest.  I plan on using Systematic Math for the younger set. Sorry, no help here!

Thank you!!  I was able to use TT with my oldest as well and was hoping that I would be able to use it with the next one, but we’ve restarted the program a couple of times because he gets stuck in Chp. 5 every single time.
