    Hi there!

I am planning our youngest son’s high school years as he is in 9th grade this fall. He is the youngest of 6 and we have practically homeschooled for forever! Ha!  He has dyslexia. We have used  Beautiful Feeet, Tapestry of Grace, Sonlight in our homeschooling, but I am so impressed with all the materials through Simply CM and am planning to use it for the coming year!  If you are new to this curriculum, which histories would you suggest to do to craft the 3-4 history courses on a traditional high school transcript?

Any suggestions or advice for this new one here is so much appreciated! 😊

    God bless!

Check state requirements, as well as typical college requirements.  Typically you need at least 1/2 government credit, 1 American history credit, and 1 world history credit.  Usually there is 3-4 total credits required for social studies.

    We will likely have:

    1 government/economics

    1 geography (over 4 years)

    1 American history

2-3 world history (divided between British, ancient, and modern world histories)

Thanks so much for your response, Holly!  I really appreciate it.  I probably didn’t ask my question very well- I know the graduation requirements but I was asking how do you use the history curriculum offered here to fulfill them since there are 6 different ones? Since I am starting using this with a 9th grader just didn’t know what that would look like and if others have done this?

    Thanks again!
