  • I found a shelving unit with cubbies second hand, it has wheels and was used in schools, It had 4 large cubbies on either side, so each girl had one for their immediate stuff, all the books on bookshelves, and I bought those inexpensive plastic drawers to keep art supplies and craft stuff in.  Over the years we have added lots of bookshelves as we are all avid readers and hate parting with books – but we still utilize the plastic drawers and cubbies.

    Hi,

We do most of our written work at the kitchen table. We have a walk in pantry and I have 3-4 large shelves of all our resources including art supplies and science kits etc as it is easy on hand and easy to pack away – keeps very tidy as I can’t stand clutter. Like everyone else we sometimes read on the grass, the verandah, in a tree on the trampoline and we do everthing together. I’m just about to get some built in book shelves in our family room. We haven’t got a huge house so storage is really important. Maybe you could go exploring in the house and garden and help your kids pick their own special spot to hideaway for reading time or maths! Don’t you love homeschooling.

    Blessings

Bookworm!  Where do I get one of those organizer things? That sounds perfect!  🙂
