    Hi,

My boys are 13 and we have done copy work for about 3-4 years now.  I am wondering when people stop doing copy work.  They will be in 8th grade next year, and it some ways, that seems kinda old.  One of them has beautiful handwriting and they other really could use the practice.  So I have considered having just one of them continue it, but I am not sure how that will go over…..

Just wondering what others do as they near high school.

    thanks

I am slowly replacing copy work with written narration as my daughter’s handwriting improves. She’s in 7 th grade now and she does copy work once a week, dictation twice a week and a written narration twice a week. My highschool plan is 3 written narrations a week and 2 dictation exercises a week.

I thought copywork is replaced by a book of mottoes when students get older. ??

I’m really liking the book mentioned in the post, Hearing and Reading, Writing and Telling.
