What grade would you say?

    My son just turned 9 in Jan. In the Fall, should he be going into 3rd or 4th based on age standards?

    Based just on age I would say currently in 3rd and going into 4th in fall.

    I would agree with Sarah2106.  Looking ahead, that would mean he would turn 18 in his senior year of high school.

    My dd just turned 9 today and I was wondering the same thing. Not that I am a huge advocate for grade level, but its nice to have a guide.

    My son turned 9 in January and we consider him to be in the 3rd grade.  I hope this helps 🙂

    My daughter will be 9 later this spring.  She is considered 3rd right now.
