So before the updates to the organizer, I was able to use the “notes” section and enter in the whole week’s assignments.  For example, next to our literature selection, Sign of the Beaver, I would go to the notes and type in:

    M- chapter 5 & oral narration

    T- X

    W- chapter 6….etc.

Now, the new format puts all of my notes in a straight line under the subject.  Has anyone figured out a way to still use the organizer, yet print a neat and concise weekly assignment sheet for your kids to follow?

Did you ever get an answer to your question? I have just signed up for the organizer and am struggling to learn how to use it.

    Binky,

Yes, I sent an email to the tech folks, and they fixed the issue.  Now the notes appear exactly as you write them.

My only complaint would be that they used to appear to the side of the subject, just as they appear on the organizer screen, so it was really easy for my kids to see exactly what to read and mark it as complete.  Now the print is underneath the subject.  It is harder to read, and takes a LOT more paper to print.  I will probably just go back to printing daily assignment sheets from the organizer, because I have to reduce the size too much to fit a week’s worth of notes on it and still save paper, and then my kids have a hard time reading it.

For a young student, the weekly assignments in the notes still work fine.  For my older children, it is just too much paper with the new format.

    Hope that helps!

To print a weeks worth of assignments for my kids, I expand the subject to upcoming lessons and print, but with the new format, checking off things for the previous week has become more time consuming than previous – so I have gone back and revisited how I had entered resources and now I enter them with what I anticipate will be a weeks worth of work and then can click on “worked on” each day.
