When doing the second round of the 6 year history rotation, will students need a new Visits book or do they add to the one they used before?
sherazParticipantThey will need a new one since they write in them.
eawernerParticipantUnless you get the ebook. Then you don’t have to buy a new one, you just print another copy.
bethannaParticipantOk. Thanks! I didn’t think about getting the ebook.
sherazParticipantOh, I did get the ebook – I was just thinking that either version, you have to have a new copy. LOL
cherylramirezParticipantCan the “Visits To…” series be complete without “Material World” and “Hungry Planet”?
bethannaParticipantI don’t know. I plan on looking for these today at the library. I think they are the living books that add interest to map drill, etc. I will request them on interlibrary loan if the library doesn’t have them. Maybe I’ll even request that they be purchased for our library! I want to look at them & decide if I should go ahead & get them or if they can wait til next year.

Material World and Hungry Planet are both required for some of the lessons. Each Visits to… book contains two kinds of lessons. In one type, your child fills in a blank map to learn the geography. In the other type, your child reads from Material World and Hungry Planet about modern families who live in some of the studied countries.
Every Visits to… book uses both of those resources, so if you use more than one Visit, you’ll be reusing those books.
