Users of Guest Hollow’s High School Biology

    Does anyone have experience with the Guest Hollow Biology for high school?  It looks promising, but there would be a lot of printing required and some work sorting out which labs to do and what supplies I will need,  and I wonder if maybe I should stick with Apologia Biology after all, though it is rather pricy to get all of the components.

    Wouldn’t Apologia be less costly?  All those living books add up, unless you have a good library.

    But would all those books actually be necessary? Would it be possible to pick and choose or substitute based on the library’s offerings?

    True—I’m sure you can.  I’m the type of person who needs the exact book and I hate relying on my library.  😊

    I haven’t used the Biology, but we are doing the Botany this year and love it!!! And no, we did not buy all of the books. That really wasn’t necessary. We picked and chose and put together a very rich year along with our home garden and field trips.

    My oldest 2 kids and I loathed Apologia so that wasn’t an option. Reminded me so much of a school required textbook. I went the living books route with my younger 3 and have been very pleased.
