Hello! I understand Charlotte didn’t begin grammar until a child was at least 10 years old. If this is the case, then why is ULW recommended to begin in third grade? I have a an 8 y.o. and am wondering if she should begin ULW next year, or wait until she is 10/4th grade. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer! We do not introduce grammar concepts in the first 70 lessons (1 year of school work) of ULW. We utilize the transcription lesson to guide children towards discovery of some punctuation, spelling, etc.

My 9yo third grader is using it and it’s perfect for her. It’s a great program – I have one daughter in each level and they all enjoy it.
