Transcripts??

    I know this may seem a strange quetion but I am still somewhat new to homeschool. This is the first full year of home school, my daughter was in public school and got  very good grades, some classes she had a perfect grade in. We have since decided to home school, and I am looking toward high school next year. My question is this, how do I get or keep track of things for her transcripts. We have been doing virtual school, but are beginning the CM style. We love it and honestly she will do well with whatever she does, she is a perfectionist. Please tell me how to prepare for record keeping in high school. I am somewhat nervous with going into the high school area.

    Hi, Stephanie. It’s not a strange question at all. I like to recommend Inge Cannon’s Transcript Bootcamp. She does a great job of showing you how to take whatever approach you want to use and document it in “education-ese” that will look right on a transcript. 

    Some other good resources are mentioned in this discussion.

    Feel free to ask more questions. There are several moms on this forum with kids in high school and beyond.

    Thanks so much, I am really nervous about home schooling through HS. I am just trying to get info in place, she is in 8th grade now.I just want her to be able to get into colleges and follow her dreams, whatever they may be. I am sure I will have tons of questions as I go alon, I do love CM website.
