Any one out there used this for American History?  I found it in the Bookfinder and thought it looked interesting.  Planning early for next year.  Laughing

We used it for most of a year when using AO. My dd HATED this book – whether I read it or we used the audiobook version that I purchased. I thought it was a good read (silently), but disliked it when listening.I know others enjoy it, but just not us.Frown

We found Mara Pratt’s American history Stories on mainlesson.com and Jim Hodges audio. We like those much better – shorter and more manageable for us. TCOO is written to ages 10+, I believe. I use the AHS w/ my 9 yo and 6 yo successfully.

We use it with TruthQuest, along with The light and the Glory for children series.  We enjoy it.  You can view it and print off the pages for free online.  It just came back into print on Amazon, and it’s a very reasonable price.

Here is the link to read it online.

By the way, my son and daughter are 7 and 4, and have no problem listening, or picking up what is happening.

Thanks, Christie, that’s pretty much what I figured.  Too mature for young kids.  I’ll check out your suggestions!

Thanks, Laura.  I was actually going to use TruthQuest with Module 5 in the fall (or whenever we finish Module 1), so I was wondering about which spine to use for young elementary.
