The Singing Tree question

    We are getting ready to read The Singing Tree by Kate Seredy as recommended in the 6th module.  I see it is actually a sequel to The Good Master, which we have not read.  For those of you who have read it, should we proceed as planned and read it, or do we need to read The Good Master first?

    You do not have to read the other one first. My daughter is reading the Singing Tree right now, with out reading the other, and no problems. I preread the singing tree not knowing there was a 1st book. The Singing Tree was good and flowed easily with out reading the other one.

    But The Good Master would be a good one to include in free reading choices.  My daughter and I enjoyed both very much.

    I love Both! You should read the Good Master sometime as well. It is a wonderful book, it was a favorite when I was 12 or 14. Even if you read them out of order read the Good Master sometime.

    We are several chapters into The Singing Tree.  I also preread it.  I hope to  read The Good Master in the near future.
