Before I just skip it, I thought I’d ask if anyone had a nice alternative to “The Shipwrecked Sailor”(Module 1 resource). It’s out of print, hard to find and too pricey to purchase. And no, libraries aren’t an option where I am (the only disadvantage to rural life).

    Just curious…

    Have you checked http://www.half.com?

I did…they have it for around $15 with shipping. That was just a little high for a used, 40-page children’s book.

I’ve gotten 80% of my books on http://www.paperbackswap.com. It’s hard for me to fork out money for books when I can just grab something off my shelf I don’t use and swap for it.

This was the only one that never came up.

    Thanks though…

Tonni, I’d say skip it. It was an interesting little story from Egyptian folklore that I found at our library. But if you can’t find it easily and inexpensively, don’t worry about it. 🙂

I’ll just read Croco’Nile AGAIN :D! They carry this one around with them everywhere…it was a BIG hit. I’m pretty sure they have it memorized and one has started trying to recreate the drawings. Really delightful little poem/story.

All of our favorite, though, was definitely “Boy of the Pyramids”. Delightful!

Thanks for these guides & book suggestions. Stressfree planning for me and we have ALL enjoyed and learned so much together.
