Teaching Effective Communication Skills

    Have any of you done a unit, or found a great Charlotte Mason-friendly book talking about effective communication? As in talking calmly about our feelings rather than name-calling, yelling, hitting, running to the bedroom in tears, etc. This is for pre-teens entering puberty and learning to manage hormones. Trying to teach them effective ways to deal with their emotions, rather than blowing up at siblings and parents. Any success you’ve had?

    Conversations with Character teaches conversation skills. They have an Advanced level for high school.
