Hello! I love the ideas and techniques of Charlotte Mason, but I am nervous about starting my boys, 11 and 13, with it. I feel like their ability to narrate will be stunted due to not doing it for the years of their education. But I can’t think at their ages they should start with oral narrations.  Has anyone else started with Charlotte Mason later in their children’s education and if so, can you give me some advice or encouragement? Thank you!

Our Narration Q & A series of articles from our Learning Library is a good place to learn about the how-to of narration. Part 13 of that series, Beginning with Older Children, will give you an idea of how to introduce narration to your older students and what to do for narration.
