My oldest dd is 9 and going into 4th grade. We are using Spelling Wisdom for the first time.

My question: Did you buy a writing tablet or other notebook for your 4th grader to write her spelling wisdom dictation exercises into or did you just have him/her write on the unlined pages (copied from Spelling Wisdom)?

Just wanted to see what creative ideas you came up with! I don’t think she’ll enjoy and even write as neatly if the paper isn’t lined…

    TIA!

My son just uses lined paper in a binder that is labeled Dictation. My middle ds will be starting SW in the Fall and I plan to use lined paper in a binder as well, unless he wants a composition book.

Nothing overly creative going on here, LOL.

No ideas, but I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread, because my DD will be starting dictation next year.

We just used . . . paper.  Lined notebook paper like all their other work.  I collect it in bins and put it in tabbed binders later.

I assumed since the SW pages were blank under the dictation exercise that they were to write it in there. Sealed I’ll get a composition notebook then. Thanks!

We also use Composition books. I believe I’ve heard that is what Charlotte used too. 🙂

They are blank just so there isn’t a distraction from the text being studied. SW is inteded to be non-consumable and used with a separate sheet of paper or notebook.

    Thanks, Doug!

Anyone recommend a good place to buy cheap composition notebooks in bulk?

I’m going to use them for History narrations and book of mottos also.

So far I see some on Amazon….may put in an order soon.

The summer back to school sales are just aroung the corner pinkballerina! I usually see composition notebooks for about 10 cents each during sales.
