size limit on PMs?

    I was trying to send a PM to someone but got an error that there was a limit of 64 characters. I know there are posts that are much longer than that on the forum, so I was confused as to why a PM couldn’t be as long. I was hoping to save everyone else from having to read my novel 🙂 I have such a hard time being brief (as my husband so sweetly points out from time to time!)

    Hope someone has an answer to this, as here writes another person with zero talent for being brief! Thanks for bringing up this topic – Linda

    I sent a PM the other day that was much longer than 64 characters (raising my hand as another person who finds it hard to be brief!), and I didn’t receive an error message. I’m assuming it went through. ?

    That was a limit for the length of the title only. There is also a length limit on the message itself, but that is much longer. There’s a geeky technical reason why there has to be a limit but I won’t bother going into that.

    Anyway, I just bumped both limits up a bit so it should be rare to see that error now.
