simply grammar vs our mothers tongue

    I know there have been posts about this but cannot find them.

    Anyone used it? Feedback please!?!

    We will be doing Grammar key for my 7th grader the first 2-3 months or so which is all diagrams.

    I was thinking to do our mothers tongue after that but like the idea that simply grammar is not using the diagrams, just wondering if it would be enough for a 7th grader.

    I have been reading all the posts about the benefits of diagraming also which makes me doubt the efficiency of simply grammar.

    Is Simply grammar similar to ILL or does it go deeper in grammar?

    Never mind!

    I just went reading a few reviews on Simply Grammar and I think I will stick to the mothers tongue plan. It seems to be more of a supplement or something to use if you are pretty good w/grammar yourself, which I am not, I have never even studied English grammar!!

    I’m not sure about Grammar Key, but OMT does cover diagramming and grammar in general thoroughly. Be sure to get the answer key.

    thanks, I will!

    I could probably skip Grammar key but now that I bought it and it is pretty easy to use. Just felt we needed to do something like that since we have not done much grammar at all so far.
