I’m new to SCM and I’m in the process of choosing a CM-type grammar program for my 5th grader for the new school year. I would like to use Simply Grammar and then use Analytical Grammar (skip Jr. Analytical Grammar). Any thoughts on those that have used either program or both? I didn’t see Simply Grammar listed as a grammar resource in the SCM Curriculum Guide.

    Thank you and God bless!

I would think that you could do Simply Grammar and then AG with no problem. JAG is optional, in my opinion. My first two children had only AG because JAG wasn’t published yet. My third is doing both JAG and AG.

In our experience, we tried SG but found it a bit confusing, so I don’t recommend it on the curriculum guide. However, I know some other moms who have used it and like it. So go with whatever works best for you. Smile

Hi, I have used both, and in our expenience also we found Simply Grammar confusing.  My younger daughter is using JAG and my 2 older are using AG.  We’re very happy with it!

But use what works for you!!!!  In my 9yrs. of homeschooling my 4 children, they are all so different in there learning.!!!!!

@PrayersB4Ugo2Bed, Sorry to change the topic, but did you write in all bold type on purpose? I saw that on a couple of your replies and I’m wondering if we have a problem with our new software that I need to fix.
