Just wondering if those who have taught a seventh grader could help me figure out if this is all that is needed for a complete CM 7th grade education:
Subject(s)
Bible, History, Geography
Scripture Memory
Foreign Language
Literature
Personal Development
Typing
Math
Science
Dictation
Grammar
Written Narration
Oral Narration
Once a week studies:
Poetry
Picture Study
Music Study
Hymn Study
Handicrafts & Arts
Shakespeare
Nature Study
If you guys see where I’m wrong and have too much or too little please help me out. Thanks
Laura.boraParticipantWe’ve got Logic, economics, government Book of Mottos and Current Events in our 7th graders lineup as well – all once a week.
4my4kidsParticipantok thanks Laura.bora . Do you mind me asking what you are using as the basis for logic, economic, government and current events?
Laura.boraParticipantI’m on my husband’s computer, so I can’t give links to everything at the moment(because I have it bookmarked on my computer and not his) but for Logic I plan on using The Fallacy Detective.
For Economics, we are using Uncle Eric Books (Penny Candy and so on). Someone posted a lose plan of how to use the Uncle Eric books for 7th – 12th. I’m just following their plan. I’ll post the link for you tomorrow.
Gov’t we’re using The Story of the Constitution.
And current events I am also following someone’s plan here: https://simplycharlottemason.com/scmforum/topic/does-anyone-do-current-events-and-how-do-you-do-them (I’m just following what Christie does.)Laura.boraParticipantOh – Found the Uncle Eric book plan. What Christie was hashing out is what we plan to do over the next 6 years.
