Have y’all used the recommended Bible resources in each history module? If so, how did you like them? Specifically, GOAL, Discovering Doctrine, and Life in the Word from Middle Ages.

I am starting Our 24 Family Ways with my children this year, but I’m wondering about adding in something for my 7th grader to do alone or along side of our family devotion time. I don’t know if he really needs something more added to his schedule, and I for sure don’t want “Bible” to become a burdensome subject to him.

Just looking for ideas and recommendations. I love the idea of these books, but I am pondering the reality of their use in our home. 🙂

We have used the Hebrews Bible study, the Romans bible study and Discovering Doctrine.

The Hebrews study was my favorite. The Romans study is good. We went through it together orally. I plan on having my daughter do it again and go more in depth on her own.

The Discovering Doctrine study just hasn’t been a good fit for my daughter. I love the idea of it but in reality it just doesn’t get done unless we are doing another SCM study that reminds us to pull it out.

I have heard really good things about Life In The Word.
