That sounds like it would work…I was having trouble picturing how to schedule it, but that helps seeing it laid out.  My math goal for her is to complete through Algebra II and Stewardship.  I already have plans for her 8th grade science so we could skip physical science altogether and start with biology in 9th.

I have the same goals for my daughter. That’s pretty much what my son did as well except Math U See didn’t have their Stewardship course out yet. We used a mixture of materials and I think I called it Personal Finance on his transcript.

I took math through AP calculus and I can’t remember anything past Alg. 2.  I have a vague memory of cos, sin and tan, but I can’t tell you what they have to do with anything!   I haven’t used anything except basic geometry and algebra since college.

My next child (10yo) is really into computers, so I think he may end up doing more with math (and science).  He is learning basic coding right now and it’s already beyond me!  DH is learning along with him.

missceegee – that is exactly the plan I have laid out for the Math and Sciences for my son.  We are going to go ahead and do General Science next year.  I found a group that does the labs every other week to make sure I get those in.   Looking at the SCM math guide I had originally thought we were behind in a Math since we will be starting Zeta his 7th grade year.  Glad to know I’m not behind and it will still be fine to do through Algebra II.  We will still have his Senior year left to take one more or get dual credit somewhere.
