I have a subject (history) that I have scheduled as a FAMILY. There are some books that are assigned for just the older child. I just tried scheduling a book for her and was wanting to use the start after/use with feature but it’s not bringing up the spine text we are using as a family as an option to select and I can’t type in a resource. The only way I found to get around this was just to schedule the book as a FAMILY and make a note that it is just for that one child. It really would be nice to work as a family, but yet schedule individual, age-appropriate books for a single student. I hope I’m explaining this clearly.

Is there something I’m missing or does the Organizer not have this capability right now?

I thank you in advance for your assistance. 🙂

Usually when I schedule a spine for the whole family and then a single book for an individual child, I assign the spine to the Family with a particular start date and assign the individual book to the child with the same start date. That way I know they will both show up on the Daily Plan at the same time, but the Records will still be accurate as to which book was used for Family and which was used for the child. Does that make sense?

Yes, it makes perfect sense. Thank you very much, Sonya. 🙂
