Okay, another planning your cm education and organizer question. I’m getting ready to fill out the term paper for my students subject of Grammar on my worksheets. We will be using Analytical Grammar. We have broken up our school year into 3 terms. How would you suggest planning this since it is only 10 weeks of active daily work and then only once every other week for reinforcment?

Also, how would I enter this into the cm organizer then? Forgive me for my ignorance when it comes to this.

    Thanks

Great question! I scheduled it every day of the week for the first term (12 weeks). Even though it’s only ten units, that gave me some margin in case we needed to skip a week or something. Then I scheduled Grammar/Dictation once a week for the last two terms. I planned to do the Grammar reinforcement exercise one week, and a dictation passage the next week, Grammar one week, dictation the next week, etc. So that “Grammar/Dictation” subject held that spot open on the weekly schedule and we could have flexibility to do one or the other. Does that make sense? You wouldn’t have to use Grammar/Dictation; you could do Grammar/Written Narration or something else that you want to alternate.

In the Organizer, I believe the AG lesson book is listed as a separate resource from the Review Exercises book. So you can easily schedule the AG lessons (using only units 1-10) for every day of the week, starting the first day of the term. Then you can schedule the Review Exercises book (again, only the exercises you will need for this year) for one day of the week and tell it to Start After the AG lesson book. That way it won’t show up until you’re done with the AG book.

Until we get the feature added to make it possible to schedule every other week, it will show up every week, but you can just manually close that resource on the weeks you don’t want to use it.

Sonya, I don’t know what I’d do without you! Thanks for helping me through these organizer questions- as I’m sure I’ll have more. 🙂

With Planning your CM education and the CM organizer, I’m expecting this to be our best year yet!

May the Lord bless you in return for all that you do for us here!
