Same spine second time round?

When you come to a time period thesecond time round would you use the same history spine or use something else?
Also, what was the middle ages spine before ‘A castle with many rooms’?
We reread the same spine. It has been so many years and the kids have grown up so much, that often it is like reading it for the first time time because they are reading with new understanding that came with age and maturity.
I wanted to say the spine prior to Castle with Many Rooms was Famous Men of the Middle Ages, but thay might be incorrect. We did that guide quite a few years ago, but when the new guide came out I switched and I prefer Castle with Many Rooms. The topics covered as well as chapter length was a much better fit for us as a spine.
