Has anyone used these cards or anything like this for math or phonics for a child with dyslexia? It is interesting that on Susan Barton’s video on dyslexia, she says that the right brain in children with dyslexia is larger than the left side, so much of their thinking is done in the right brain. Our daughter was born with mild CP. At two years old, before we adopted her, she had either an MRI or CT scan of her brain. I was with the foster mom when she got the results of that test. I remember the doctor saying that the right side of her brain was larger than the left. Coincidence? I just watched the video this evening. I have been suspecting for quite some time that our daughter has dyslexia. In her adoption files it says that her birth mom had dyslexia. According to what I heard on the video, she has classic symtoms. I was familiar with the right brain resources, but didn’t realize it was specifically a method of learning for dyslexics. Has anyone had success with any right-brained methods, especially for math?
