Would anyone have a recommendation for a Latin curriculum for a 7 year old? Also, I would love to learn of any piano instruction recommendations that you might have for the same child. Thank you very much!
Laura.boraParticipantpiano I would highly recommend Simply Music Dvds and Latin we haven’t used yet, but we are looking into this: Amazon.com: Getting Started with Latin: Beginning Latin for Homeschoolers and Self-Taught Students of Any Age (9780979505102): William E. Linney: Books
AnonymousInactiveLaura.bora gave a link in her comment above for Getting Started with Latin. That’s what we are using right now with my 14yo. She is doing really well with it. I don’t know how well it would work with a 7 year old though. I’m sure there are others here on the forum that could probably give you some recommendations for the younger ages for Latin.
jeaninpaParticipantWe used Song School Latin for that age. It’s a very simple introduction, mostly we just listened to the CD and they love to sing along. We use Latin for Children after that. I haven’t used anything else, so can’t compare but we are enjoying the Latin for Children. It comes with audio cd’s and a dvd, so most of the teaching is done for me which was important to me because I am learning right along with my children.
jlcsParticipantThank you all so much! These sound like great suggestions! I appreciate your help very much!
AngieGParticipantThere is a latin course for elementary ages. It looks super cute and I look forward to using it. Minimus, Starting out in Latin:
