  • Hi,

I’ve been busy imputing all of our books and other assignments for the year into the Organizer. Tomorrow we will begin. Do most of you print schedules daily for your children to follow? Am I able to print a weekly schedule? I’d like my older child to be more independent this year so I like the idea of him having a schedule to follow rather than me telling him every book/assignment. Do you use a lot of excess paper if you print daily?

Thanks for your input. I’m still new at this and feel a bit unsure of how it is going to work.

I don’t usually print out the lists; I just leave my browser window open on my computer so the older kids can check off their own work. Then I just follow behind and make sure everything was done.

As far as using paper goes, some moms have mentioned that the font size is pretty large on the printout. So we have it on our to-do list to reduce that size in order to save paper and ink. Just thought I’d mention that.

Currently the Organizer doesn’t print out a week’s schedule because each day’s assignments can change, depending on what you accomplished or didn’t quite finish the day before. I usually post a Weekly Schedule that just gives which subjects we’re doing each day of the week, and that usually works fine for the older children to see at a glance.

Here’s another thread that discussed the week-at-a-glance idea.

    Hope this helps!
