    DO any of your children have penpals?  Both of my boys would love to have penpals.  They are only 10.5 and 7, and only speak/write English.  I think exchanging letters with other children would be a great way for them to practice various writng skills while making a new long-distance friend and learning about life in an other province or country.  Does any one have a suggestion about how to locate penpals, or have children of similar ages who might be interested in exchanging lettes with my boys? 

    We were also talking about the possiblility of having a post card exchange as part of our geography lessons this year.  We are wondering if anyone else might be interested in exchanging post cards — we’ll send you a post card from our province, and you send us one from where you live.  We would then put a pin on our map for every location that we have a post card from, and learn a little bit about that place.

    My boys would love to be penpals and/or involved in the postcard exchange.  My three older boys ages 12, 10 and 7 would be the ones participating. (My 2 year old is way too self absorbed to write a letter… lol) We live in Missouri. Let us know when you would like to start and we can privately exchange addresses.

    I will get back to everyone tomorrow — it’s been a busy day and it’s late.  Hopefully I’ll find a little time in the morning to PM everyone who is interested.  Anyone else interested in a Post Card Exchange??
