Outside commitments…

    We’re in Alberta, Canada, so I think we would really hold things up… but it’s really nice to actually receive an invitation!

    No, I didn’t grow up in an area with lots of large families… but I grew up in the church, so there were still some big families around us.  I was in a family of 4 kids – in the church that was probably fairly average (3-5 was common)… but in the city I’d say 2-3 was more normal.  (trying to remember… it was also long enough ago that I think family sizes were a bit bigger.)

    So I’m not saying there was LOTS of families of 7 or 8 kids to invite…. but there were a couple, and there were ones with 4-5 kids.

    We have 4 kids (not including my adult step-kids) – and are mostly considered a BIG family…. but there are families at our church with 6 or 7….

    Tristan ~ what part of Ohio? We’re military, but both born and raised in suburbs of Cincinnati.

    houseofchaos ~ yep, that’s a pretty long drive 🙂 I bet it’s beautiful there right now. Not so colorful in the kinda-south as in the Midwest in fall 🙁

    suzukimom ~ just a few short years ago…I considered having 4 children as a large family too, now with almost 8 I don’t even feel large, through blogging, I’ve come to “know” so many families with 8-14 children…
