Hey everyone, I haven’t posted in a few months; mostly because I have been on a hectic schedule but also because I haven’t had anything relevant to say. 🙂

My family does mission work in Uganda. We’ve been involved in short term work there since 2010. This year, we’ll be there for 2 months. I know that many of your families may enjoy reading about different mission experiences and cultural experiences. On the other hand, some of your families may not have had the opportunity to know any missionaries.

So with that in mind, I thought I’d share our blog address, in case you’re interested. We’ve already been posting updates and experiences as we prepare, and we leave for Uganda on June 10. We’ll be back in America on August 3rd. You’re welcome to follow along if you’d like. Right now the kids haven’t posted anything, but when we’re in Uganda, we’ll be sure to have the kids post as well.

    The address is: http://www.submissiontothemission.blogspot.com

    Enjoy the summer everyone!

    Tamra,

Thanks for sharing. We love reading about others’ missionary experiences and seeing how God works in those situations. Our family has been involved in short term missions for over 15 years. We’ve traveled to many places both with and without our kids serving alongside local missionaries doing whatever was needed. Truly, it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives and the most humbling.

    Blessings,

    Christie

Christie, that sounds very exciting. Hopefully we can look back someday and say we’ve been doing it for that long. We have a friend from church whose much older and he’s done over 75 short term trips. It is really amazing to see how the Lord has used him and his wife.

    May we bring Him glory,

    Tamra
