Any experience with this program? Any feedback? And did you add literature reads to it or let it stand on its own for an English credit?
TristanParticipantMy daughter is closing in on the end of this (she’s 15, was 14 when she started last fall). She’s really enjoyed it. Each day there is a dvd segment to watch (this can be from 7-30 minutes I think), they work in the Map (workbook where they are fleshing out their novel characters, plot, etc), lesson book they read in, and sometimes also reading a chapter from The Prisoner of Zenda when it illustrates the topic of the lesson.
It stands alone for us as a Novel Writing credit. She also did literature and other things for an English 9 credit, so this Novel Writing became an elective for her transcript purposes.

TristanParticipantYes, giving her full credit. No, they do not do the grading, you do. And generally, yes, there is a rubric to help guide you.
beccawalker2000ParticipantSome one gave me this curriculum. After reading this, I’m inclined to set it aside until my son is high school level. It’s a very interesting curriculum!
TristanParticipantYes, a high schooler will be able to get more out of this and apply more than a younger student would! They do offer a middle school program called Cover Story. I’m not familiar with it though.
