How ironic you should print this mottoe!  I have been musing for a while about starting a business, I’m not sure what I would do.  Whenever I drive down the road I look at all the businesses and tell myself, “all this businesses where started by people who had an idea and acted on it…”  Funny you should pick this out this one to share…

…and extinguished by criticism – at least that’s what this mom is learning.

I so love Emily Dickinson.  Her words seem faster than thought and lighter than air.  Have you read Jane Yolen’s book My Uncle Emily?  It’s tells of her relationship with her 6-year-old nephew and is based on her poem “Tell All the Truth.”

My children love poetry but after an extremely upsetting run-in with JWR’s “Little Orphan Annie” my 2nd grader vowed he would never read poetry again.  Mrs. Yolen’s book along with Emily Dickinson’s poetry helped restore his love.
